Is removing moss from my roof necessary?

Moss on roofs is an aesthetic problem and a functional one. Causing the tiles to hold on to moisture and therefore becoming brittle over time.

Excessive moss on roof tiles can impact the longevity of a roof.

Falling moss can often block gutters and cause a nuisance, landing on vehicles and gardens.

It’s, therefore, a good idea to keep your roof clear from moss. We can also clear your gutters at the same time.

What method do we use to clear moss on roofs?

Firstly, Trevor gently scrapes off the moss from the tiles and then follows up with either steam cleaning at low pressure or a soft washing method. which uses a combination of low-pressure water and professional use biocide, gently washing away the moss, algae and unsightly dirt. The biocide limits future moss growth and therefore keeps your roof looking cleaner for longer.
